So for last week in science we talked about bacteria, and read in our science books about bacteria as well. its very intestine, their is a lot of things people don’t know about bacteria, a lot of its good, it helps our immune system and our gut.  We learned about how when we take too much antibiotics then our bodies cant fight things off as well and then you have to drink a poop shake. yeah, i know that was a very weird ending, but yes, a poop shake. So basically your cicumstances are that you’re on too many antibiotics and you’re going to die, doctors can take someone’s poop that you are usually in the same inviroment as you and take the healthy bacteria and put it inside of you so that you can be healthy again. You have to drink it.                          That sounds pretty nasty to me, but it did save a few peoples lives. I would love to watch the thought process of the person that thought of this, I can just picture it. So in my head there is a guy in the corner, and he just mumbles “poop shake” and everyone’s like “Umm… Dave are you ok?” So, there are a few different shapes of bacteria in the scienc ebook that we read, there bacilli, cocci and spirilla, These all have different purposes, bacilli are large and turd shaped to help them absorb nutrients.  Cocci are sphere shaped and are less prone to dying out so they stay alive longer. Spirilla moves in a corkscrew motion and creates a kind of strong web. I always thought that bacteria was a germ and that there was only one kind, but there are sooooo many. Some can live in really inhabitable places using a shieldthat can last forever, some are for photosynthesis and they even reproduce in such a strange way!

Questions: Could we use bacteria to do our work? Could we use bacteria as a weapon? What happens if we use too many antibiotics and nobody has enough bacteria?
